Copyright & Takedown Policy

Effective date: 26 June 2025

ModSynapse respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material in question.

Submitting a takedown request

If you believe that content hosted on ModSynapse infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to act on behalf of, send a takedown request to [email protected].

Proof of ownership

You must provide proof that you own, or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner of, the copyrighted work. We cannot act on a request without it. Your notice should include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • The URL or other specific location on ModSynapse of the material you claim is infringing.
  • Evidence of your ownership of, or authority to act on behalf of the owner of, the work (for example, registration details, links to the original work, or other documentation establishing your rights).
  • Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

Once we receive a complete and valid notice, we will review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the user who posted it. Repeated infringement may result in suspension or termination of the responsible account.

Counter-notification

If you believe your content was removed in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to [email protected]. Please note that submitting a false counter-notification, or a false takedown request, may expose you to liability.
